I17 @ EGOV-CEDEM-ePart 2018: Best Paper Award


The paper "Managing Standardization in eGovernment: A Coordination Theory based Framework" authored by Dian Balta (fortiss) and Helmut Krcmar has won the Best Paper Award of the EGOV-CEDEM-ePart conference 2018 in category 2: The most compelling, critical research reflection.

To address the challenge of standardization management in eGovernment, the authors propose a coordination theory based framework for analysis. It consists of three coordination modes distinguished based on their mechanisms and relevant context dimensions. In their research approach, the authors interpret a single case study of a standardization project in Germany where artefacts were developed from a pragmatism perspective.
